On the heels of a big election for the Democrats, Congressmen Jesse Jackson Jr. and Luis Gutierrez both announced they would not run against Chicago Mayor Richard Daley.
"I am downright giddy about the prospects in Washington," Jackson said at a news conference. "Washington will be the place to be in the next two years."
"I'm making a priority of my family and my mission in Congress," Gutierrez said. "I just think it would be truly irresponsible of me at this point."
