When I was in the second grade I picked up a copy of a biography on Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. I had no clue who he was or the life he had lived. I was quickly entrenched in the pages of the book after reading about his childhood. At a young age, King had a white friend; they played together often until one day the white child was no longer allowed to play with him because of the color of his skin.
